Privacy Policy

Sentinest, Inc. ("Sentinest," "we," "us," or "our") builds tools that help protect people from manipulation and digital fraud. Protecting your privacy is core to what we do. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website at sentinest.ai, our mobile applications, and our related services (together, the "Services").

1. Information we collect

We collect information in the following ways:

Information you give us

• Waitlist and account details. When you join our waitlist or create an account, we collect your first name, last name, and email address.
• Communications. If you email us or otherwise contact us, we collect the contents of those messages and your contact details.

Information you authorize us to analyze

• Conversation signals. With your explicit permission, the Sentinest app analyzes conversations from connected sources such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Telegram, and SMS in order to generate your Manipulation Risk Index (MRI) score. We explain how this works, and what we do and do not store, in Section 3.

Information we collect automatically

• Usage and device data. When you use our Services we may collect technical information such as your device type, operating system, app version, IP address, and how you interact with the Services.
• Cookies and analytics. Our website uses cookies and Google Analytics, as described in Section 8.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Services, including generating your MRI score;
• Manage our waitlist and notify you when access is available;
• Respond to your questions and provide support;
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
• Understand how the Services are used so we can improve them;
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. How conversation analysis works

Sentinest is designed to keep your conversations private. When you connect a messaging source, the app analyzes the conversation to assess manipulation risk. Our principle is simple: we store your score, not your conversations.

• Content is processed to generate a score. Message content is analyzed only to calculate your MRI score and determine the appropriate response.
• Only the score and related metadata are retained. Once a score is generated, we do not retain the underlying conversation content as part of your ongoing record.
• You control the connection. You choose which sources to connect and can disconnect them at any time through the app.

Because this analysis can involve sensitive communications, we limit access to it, apply safeguards described in Section 6, and only process this data to deliver the protection you have asked us to provide.

4. How we share information

We share personal information only in the limited circumstances below:

• Service providers. We work with vendors who help us run the Services (for example, hosting, analytics, and email delivery). They may only process your information on our instructions and for our purposes.
• Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or Sentinest.
• Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in control of your personal information.
• With your direction. We may share information when you ask us to, such as when you choose to share a score or alert with someone you trust.

5. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services and for the legitimate and lawful purposes described in this policy — for example, to maintain your account and score history. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it. You can request deletion of your account and associated data as described in Section 7.

6. How we protect your information

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and limits on who can access sensitive data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work hard to protect your information and to respond promptly if a problem occurs.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict its use, and the right to object to certain processing. You can:

• Access or update your waitlist or account details by contacting us;
• Disconnect any connected messaging source in the app at any time;
• Request deletion of your account and associated data;
• Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those emails.

8. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and understand how it is used. We use Google Analytics to collect aggregated information about site traffic and usage. Google Analytics may set cookies and collect information such as your IP address and pages visited. You can learn more at Google's Privacy Policy and opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Most browsers also let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings.

9. Children's privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
